Join us in our living room as Livingroom Shakespeare reunites to present a staged reading of The Merry Wives of Windsor. Make yourself comfortable and enjoy the rumpus, or volunteer and join the mayhem in our fun and accessible take on Shakespeare!

Falstaff decides to fix his financial woe by seducing the wives of two wealthy merchants. The wives find he sent them identical letters and take revenge by playing tricks on Falstaff when he comes calling. With the help of their husbands and friends, the wives play one last trick in the woods to put Falstaff’s mischief to an end.

Livingroom Shakespeare was founded during the COVID era as a virtual theater, providing actors with opportunities to hone their skills and broaden their experiences through regular performances of Shakespeare's works from their own living rooms, both in the Hudson Valley and around the world. They emphasize making Shakespeare accessible, providing actors with opportunities, and keeping the community in community theater.

Reader's Theater: This show will be a reading, performed by actors reading their scripts. This allows the cast to focus on the meaning of the words and the relationships between the characters, rather than the memorization of the language.

Consider Volunteering! In theater, the audience is the final cast member, and in this case, it's literally true! We'll be selecting volunteers from our audience to round out our cast, so if you're interested just drop your name in the hat. We will pick the rest of our cast before the curtain goes up!
