Illyria is lovesick, and community therapist Leslie is determined to explain it using logic and statistics– conducting a scientific study to determine the true nature of love. Her subjects include the incessant Orsino, the hopelessly passionate Malvolio, and plane-crashed twins Sebastian and Viola, whose identical faces and magnetic charisma cause all sorts of confusion. As Leslie’s field studies run parallel to her clients’ explorations of romance, identity, gender-expression, trauma, swing-dancing, and self-love, she’s not the only one who finds herself at a loss for answers. Celebratory, curious and passionately open-hearted, Twelfth Night’s newest musical makeover asks the questions closest to our hearts and, while not answering all of them, leaves us laughing in good company.

This production will feature an abridged version of Stars performed in concert, starring Imani Okech (Leslie), Caleb Vaughn (Orsino), Gabriel Medina Maldonado (Malvolio/Andrew), Elise Gresham (Viola/Maria), and Alice O'Connor (Olivia/Feste/Sharon), backed up by a six-piece band. Stars features a witty and insightful book by Poppy Hufstader and Arin Andrews, and a genre-bending contemporary score by Arin Andrews.

This production will run approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes with no intermission. Content warnings for mental health & depression, domestic violence, and grief/loss.
