Interest Gathering & Script Reading (This is not a formal audition)
Thursday, March 12 at 7:00 PM
Livingroom Shakespeare will be taking interest for the upcoming reading of The Merry Wives of Windsor in The CENTER’s Black Box.
Interested actors are invited to a laid-back evening of script exploration and connection. We’ll read selections from the play and spend time getting to know each other. This gathering serves as part of the casting process, with casting to follow.
About the play: Falstaff decides to fix his financial woe by seducing the wives of two wealthy merchants. The wives find he sent them identical letters and take revenge by playing tricks on Falstaff when he comes calling. With the help of their husbands and friends, the wives play one last trick in the woods to put Falstaff’s mischief to an end.
Performances: April 24 & 26, 2026. Friday at 7:30 PM, Sunday at 2:30 PM
Reader's Theater: This show will be a reading, performed by actors reading their scripts. This allows the cast to focus on the meaning of the words and the relationships between the characters, rather than the memorization of the language.
