KIDS ON STAGEClasses meet February 26 to April 26Tuesdays and Thursdays 4:00 PM – 5:30 PM Tuition: $250 Performance Dates: Saturday, April 26 and May 3 at 11:00 a.m. Acclaimed actress and singer Lisa Lynds teaches children ages 8 to 15 basic stagecraft, performance and vocal skills as they prepare for an exciting production of “45 Minutes from Broadway,” a musical comedy full of appealing character roles including delightful chorus girls, goofy gangsters and the lively music of George M. Cohan! TECHNICAL THEATER WORKSHOPSWe have a staff of technical theater experts who offer classes in SOUND, LIGHTING and RIGGING. Offered for high school students and adults. Classes currently available include: SOUND DESIGN with Sara Even Mon. Sept. 17, 5-7 p.m. $30.00 E.T.C. LIGHTING Wed. Mar. 26 5-6:30 p.m. $30.00 This class will provide hands on experience with programming on an ETC Express Console. We will begin with a basic overview of the console and work into more complicated programming protocol. It is recommended that students have a basic understanding of lighting but is not a prerequisite. RIGGING (2 classes) $50.00 for 2 sessions Rope Rigging: Mon. Feb. 25 5-6:30 pm and Automated Rigging Wed. Feb. 27 5-6:30 p.m. THE CENTER'S SCHOLARSHIP FUNDIn order to foster an appreciation for the performing arts, The Center makes tuition scholarships available to deserving children who wish to participate in the Kids on Stage program.
