Sleuth (8:00PM)
Friday Tickets: $20 adults; $18 seniors/children CENTERstage Productions is proud to present Anthony Shaffer’s Tony Award-winning, classic mystery, “Sleuth,” for two weeks at The CENTER for Performing Arts in Rhinebeck. Directed by Nicola Sheara and produced by Lou Trapani. Spinning the sinister tale of famous mystery writer Andrew Wyke and his wife’s lover, travel agent Milo Tindle, “Sleuth” is a masterful maze of who-done-what and how. Starring Lou Trapani as Andrew and Michael Brooks as Milo, “Sleuth” also features James Whitley and Frank Pugnello in their debut performances at The CENTER. Lou Trapani is the artistic and managing director of The CENTER and has directed Michael Brooks in the title role in “Hamlet,” as well as a plethora of Tennessee Williams’ heroes, including Tom in “The Glass Menagerie,” Mitch in “A Streetcar Named Desire,” and Brick in “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof” but this is the first time the two have shared the stage as actors. “I’m really looking forward to acting opposite Michael,” says Trapani “and to see if I can keep up with him. He’s a great actor to direct and I hope I can supply the goods when I’m actually on stage with him.” Nicola Sheara is a New York City-based, award-winning actor and director and is the founder and artistic director of Theatre Sounds. She has directed several plays at The CENTER and is also a featured performer and director for The Woodstock Fringe Festival.
