The CENTER's A Christmas Carol is a new twist on Charles Dickens' classic tale featuring Scrooge, the Cratchits, Tiny Tim, some unusual ghosts and your favorite holiday carols! Audition NoticeUp in One Productions will hold open auditions for Urinetown The Musical at 7 p.m. Sunday, December 7, and Monday, December 8, at The CENTER for Performing Arts at Rhinebeck, 661 Route 308, Rhinebeck. Music and lyrics by Mark Hollmann. Book and lyrics by Greg Kotis. Directed and choreographed by Marcus D. Gregio and produced by Diana di Grandi. Performance dates are March 6-29, 2009. All parts are open. Needed: actors, singers and dancers -- adults and children (ages 12 and up) Prepare: Music: 16 measures of a Broadway song that is not from Urinetown (bring a copy of your music for the piano accompanist) Readings: a one-minute monologue (a monologue will be provided to those without a prepared one) Callbacks (7 p.m. Tuesday, December 9): Actors called back should prepare a song from the song, and be prepared to read from the script.
