CENTERstage Productions is excited to announce auditions for Braille Garden, a new play by Darrah Cloud and directed by Christine Crawfis.

The marriage of a young couple results in the opening of a portal that allows into their lives their dead parents and a host of ancestors who want to destroy what they have: true love.

Location: The CENTER for Performing Arts at Rhinebeck.

Performance Dates: February 21-23, 2020

Seeking:  The play requires 5 actors playing multiple characters as follows:

  • GLORY Early 30s
  • GUS Early 30s
  • CYNTHIA MUELLER - GLORY'S mother, 50s, an alcoholic, once hot
  • GUS, Sr. -  GUS' father, a mortician, well-to-do
  • CLERGYWOMAN/NURSE A stunning female, early 30s

The Dead, as played by the above actors:

  • GRACE BACON - GUS' mother, 50s, an alcoholic, once hot, dead
  • CHUCK MUELLER - GLORY'S father, dead 
  • AUNT HORTENSIA - Single, brusque, Victorian, way dead
  • GRACE is played by CYNTHIA and GLORY
  • CHUCK AND AUNT HORTENSIA are played by GLORY 

All ethnicities are encouraged to audition.

Prepare / Bring: Sides will be provided at auditions. Bring your schedule and be prepared to list your conflicts.
