Audition Notice

Lillian Hellman’s searing drama, “The Children’s Hour,”

presented by CENTERstage, produced by Lou Trapani,

and directed by Cora Stempel.

Originally produced in the 1930s, “The Children’s Hour”

is an explosive play about two women and the lie

that ruins their lives. As timely now as it was

in the 30s, this is a mature script that deals

with a mature theme. All interested actors

should read the play before auditioning.

To be performed October 3rd, 2008 to October 12th, 2008.

Rehearsals will take place during August and September.

Auditions are Monday, July 28th, and Tuesday, July 29th,

in the Andy Weintraub Studio at The CENTER.

Needed are two principal women, aged 25 to 40,

three character women, aged 40 to 80,

one leading man, aged 25 to 40,

one character juvenile, aged 15 to 20,

and seven young girls, aged 12 to 15.

Auditions will be readings from the script.
